As a subject matter expert, you need to master the art of storytelling. Whether you want to write a captivating bio, publish weekly articles, or give keynote speeches, it’s important that you tell a compelling story and connect with your audience.
You can have me write stories for you (subject to availability), either through my regular copywriting services or by booking a VIP Intensive. But if you’re a more hands-on (aspiring) thought leader, you can also book a session to brainstorm your ideas, get to the core of your story, or discuss your storytelling strategy. Every month, I have a limited amount of slots for one-on-one consulting and coaching sessions.
As I’m a structured, solution-oriented person, I’ve created four themed sessions. Once you’ve booked one, I’ll send you a brief questionnaire. Your answers will help me do the necessary prep work and provide you with targeted advice. This approach ensures you’ll get the most out of those 90 minutes!

What Makes You Tick (90 minutes)
Why do you do what you do? What makes you get up in the morning? What are your beliefs and values?
As a subject matter expert, you should get the answers to these questions down. They form the backbone of your story, which you should include in all your communications—from a concise LinkedIn bio to a long-form opinion piece. Your audience wants to know who you are and what you stand for. They’ll only be interested in your work if they’re interested in you. With a well-told story, you’ll reach the right audience. Plus, it can help them find you.
During this 90-minute session, we’ll lay the foundation for your story and discuss concrete strategies for interspersing your content with elements of your story. We will also talk about its backbone. I’m known for my interviewing techniques among clients, so expect lots of in-depth questions. Don’t worry, though—there are no wrong answers. It’s your story, after all!

“How I Got Here Today” Story (90 minutes)
The road to subject matter expertise usually isn’t a short or straight one. An effective way to connect with your audience is to let them know how you got here today. Of course, you can create a simple timeline on your website. But that doesn’t tell people much about you. They want to learn about your journey, including the successes and hardships that have made you the person you are today.
During a 90-minute session, I’ll guide you through a range of questions that will help you describe this journey. We’ll discuss your answers, as well as ways to incorporate your story into your broader content strategy.
The benefit of a one-on-one session is that you can ask me for on-the-spot feedback—for example, on whether to include certain elements or not.

Creative Brainstorm (90 minutes)
You want to churn out articles, but you struggle to get your creative juices flowing. Or, you’re panicking over a content strategy because your story is so concise it’ll fill one page at the most.
A creative brainstorm will turn one (kernel of an) idea into a heap of topics to write, talk, or lecture about. Don’t feel forced to interact with ChatGPT. If you want a more effective outcome, you can talk to a storyteller, copywriter, and creative writer with 14 years of experience who will ask you questions that’ll help you get your stories onto paper (rather than prompting a bot to generate answers based on what others have already said).
I will share techniques, ideas, exercises, and tips to get you started. You can use the session in several ways. We can, for example, brainstorm a template for one content type you regularly want to create, such as a newsletter or blog. It’s also possible to discuss ways to incorporate creativity into your daily or weekly routine. Or, we can discuss a system to consistently generate and organize ideas, creating an inexhaustible resource for content.

Strategy Call (90 minutes)
How to get your stories onto paper and into the world? How to convey your expertise and message? How to reach your audience and create genuine connections?
Although we can’t devise a full-blown strategy in 90 minutes, you can use this session to lay the foundation. During a strategy call, we’ll discuss how you can set up an effective roadmap to avoid randomness. We’ll talk about your story, goals, audience, and content. Plus, we will have a look at the content types and channels that will likely be most effective for you.
If you’ve already created a strategy (blueprint), we can review and improve it together. Whether you’re starting from scratch or revising an existing strategy, you will leave this session with a clear picture of what to do next.

Need some help creating content after our session? Depending on my current availability, you can pick one of the following add-ons:
- Content plan (a foundation for consistent content creation)
- Your story (written from first-person POV, so you can use it as a basis for your bios and “About” page)
